Who & How Firnas has inspired people?
After Ibn Firnas’s first aviation project, many people were inspired and interested by this great invention, which caused a lot of changes over time. People started trying to improve his invention, one of them were Roger Bacon. Roger Bacon was an English philosopher and Franciscan friar who had huge importance on the study of nature using experimental methods. He was from the middle Ages era. He started in the 19th century. He one of the earliest European supporters of the modern method, inspired by Ibn Firnas and other Arabic scholars, such as the Muslim scientist Al-Hazen. However, more recent studies state that he was basically a feudal thinker. He was very much into scholastic books, which is where most of his experimental knowledge came from. Many of Bacon's alchemical ideas of the thirteenth-century natural philosopher suggest the position he had taken in the history of the Hermetic Art.
